Which expression is equivalent to ( 2/5 x + 1 1/5)?

Mathematics

Margarita [4]3 years ago
3 0

First you make 1 1/5 an mixed fraction by multiplying 1 times 5 and add one which gives you 6/5 and then you don't add because 2/5 has a variable so you can't combine like terms if you don't have like terms so my answer would be 2/5x + 6/5 but you can wait to answer incase someone else answers incase I'm wrong but just helping :)

Solve the inequality –1 > –2(x – 4) – 5(4x – 7).
Ksivusya [100]

Answer:

x > 2

Step-by-step explanation:

–1 > –2(x – 4) – 5(4x – 7)

–1 > –2x + 8 –20x + 35

–1 > - 22x + 43

- 1 - 43 > - 22x

- 44 > - 22x

\frac{ - 44}{ - 22} < \frac{ - 22x}{ - 22}

2 < x

x > 2

Annabelle is taking the Polar Express ALL the way to the North Pole! The Polar Express is 100 meters long and it takes 30 second
vlada-n [284]

Hey!

Hope this helps...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To solve this, we will be doing a semi-alternate route, but it will get us to our answer...
400 / 100 = 4
30 / 4 = 7.5 seconds
60 * 60 * 7.5 = 27,000 meters per hour
Lets plug it into our meters to miles formula...
27,000 / 1,609.344 ~ 16.777 miles per hour
So...
The answer is: The Polar Express was going 27,000 meters per hour (or roughly close to 16.777 miles per hour)...
