The correct answer is D. American Revolution, so. Two of the main events that fueled the start of the French Revolution were the Enlightenment and the American Revolution

Explanation

The French Revolution was an internal conflict in France in 1789, this conflict began because France was going through a deep crisis due to the poor management of economic resources by King Louis XVI. This situation caused the population suffered famine and discontent, which made some French intellectuals think about the way to change the situation based on the Enlightenment. Additionally to this, the French Revolution was influenced by the American Revolution against England, because the American people got their independence from England with help from France, so, a lot of money from France had been spent in that independence while the French people suffered famine. Because of this, the French people decided to change their own situation taking out the monarchy and implementing the Democracy in a similar way the Americans had done it during the American Revolution.
