People pretend that televised tragedies are real when they use actors and etc, is because these tragedies can easily happen. For example a kidnappers kidnaps a child from a park, a unsupervised child can easily walk away because the parent is on their phone texting or scrolling on instagram. Basically the producers want to make awareness that the society should try to prevent these "Fake Tragedies" from happening.

I might be wrong but diversity and safety are two things i can think of. If what we're seeing is a fire exit then it displays the safety issues found in early workplaces. and there is also a lack of diversity between the workers on the stairs.

Germany was hit particularly hard during the American Great Depression. The reason being was that America was a major source of loans for Germany's reparations after WW1. When Hitler came to power as the Chancellor of Germany, he incited the entire country into a nationalistic rage and establishing a totalitarian single party state, with the support of the Nazi Party.
