When the colonists first came to the America’s they strongly disagreed with the native Americans way of clearing the forest. The native Americans had controlled fires which made room for crops, brought in a large supply of food, and in a much faster rate. The colonizers thought it would be safer to individually chop down tree after tree, which took longer and brought in no food source.

2) Based on what you know about Pericles and how this speech was recorded, what is one strength of this document as a source abo
Vsevolod [243]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although you forgot to include the speech, we can say the following.

Based on what you know about Pericles and how this speech was recorded, one strength of this document as a source about Athens's political system is the call that Pericles made to all Athenians to continue to defend its land, the basis of democracy, and to support the war effort in a Patriotic way to maintain the liberty of Athens.

During his public speech, Pericles honored the soldiers that were killed in the Peloponnesians War against Sparta, another city-state in ancient Greece. After 27 years of war, the fierce warriors of Sparta defeated the Athenian troops.
