Donald Trump was a businessman and entrepreneur who had found success in the commercial real estate industry. He started a string of hotels in New York including, the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Trump Tower, and Trump Plaza. He also has had investments in Golf Courses, The USFL (Football League), Casinos in Atlantic City, and eventually turning his notoriety and popularity into book deals and reality TV shows. Before becoming the President of the United States, Donald Trump was involved either primarily or financially in 515 different firms, and of those, 268 firms have the name “Trump” in the company’s title.

Tom Monaghan is a very religious man, who after selling the Domino's Pizza chain in 1998, founded a Catholic university in Florida (in 2003), named Ave Maria University. The university currently has an enrollment of about 1,000 students.  He started a planned community in that Florida location as well, naming the town Ave Maria also.
