How do i do 10x+2=32

Mathematics

This question is asking to find the answer of the variable x, and to do that, you need to isolate the variable, aka get it alone.

10x+2=32 (you must get rid of the 2 first, so do the opposite sign, so if positive, subtract the 2 from both sides.)

10x=30 (Divide 10 from x to get the answer.)

x=3!

Hope this helped you!

what is the value of y for the line that has a slope of 1 and goes through the points (-4,y) and(-2,8)
kozerog [31]

Answer:

y = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the slope m = 1 and the points (-4, y) and (-2, 8). Substitute:

1=\dfrac{8-y}{-2-(-4)}

1=\dfrac{8-y}{2} multiply both sides by 2

2=8-y subtract 8 from both sides

-6=-y          change the signs

6=y\to y=6

Matt had 5 library books. He checked 1 additional book out every week without returning any books. Which equation represents the
andreev551 [17]
The amount of books Matt had at the beginning (5) is a constant that does not change, thus nothing will be multiplied by that number. This eliminates options A and C, which both demonstrate 5 as being multiplied by the amount, x, of weeks.

As for the other two equations, which one makes sense for this problem, which models an increase of books over time? The equation with addition.

Answer:
D. y = 5 + x

This problem shows the amount of library books Matt will have after any random amount of weeks he checked out one book, combined with the 5 he had before starting this pattern.

Need help Identify three solutions of the graph shown
tester [92]
The solutions are basically the points on the graph that the line passes through. The best way to pick them is to use the whole numbers that are on the corners of the little boxes instead of the middle.

(4, -5)
(3, -3)
(1, 1)
(0, 3)
(-1, 5)
and so on.

What are the values of a and b in the figure?
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

a = 76°

b = 124°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the lines are parallel, we can prove that the smaller triangle's missing angle (shares a line with ∠b) is 56°.

180-56=124°

∠b=124°

Now to find Angle A:

180-56-48=

124-48=

76°

∠a=76°
