The Chattahoochee river covers the southern part of Georgia and it is considered to be the main source of usable water for millions of people that live in the Piedmont region of the state.
The Piedmont region refers to the foothills that cover the base of the mountainous areas. The Chattahoochee River flows through this region, providing a large amount of water on which the native people are directly dependent on.
