  • Oxygen is delivered to cells throughout the body by this system.
  • Nutrients are delivered to organs through this system.
  • This system removes carbon dioxide from organs and delivers it the lungs.
  • This system's organs passes oxygen into the bloodstream.
  • This system plays a major role in fighting infections.

The circulatory system works the following way:

  • Red blood cells (coming from the kidneys) pumped by the heart into the lungs drop carbon dioxide and collect each a molecule of oxygen.
  • The pressure from the heart keeps the blood moving to the small intestine where nutrients from the digestion process are picked up by the blood red cells.
  • Both oxygen and nutrients reach every cell in the body delivering nutrients and oxygen and picking up carbon dioxide and wastes from the cells' nutrition process
  • Blood carrying carbon dioxide and wastes is taken into the kidneys where all the solid wastes (carbon dioxide is a gas) are removed, and after that, blood returns to the heart, and the cycle starts all over again

Answer:

The circulatory system is a combination of other systems that are working together. These are the Heart, the Lungs and the arteries, veins and other vessels; the cardiovascular system, the pulmonary system and the systemic system.

Explanation:

The circulatory system in humans is responsible for

  1. Taking the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart
  2. The heart pumps the blood to all the organs and tissues in the body and the de-oxygenated blood returns to the lungs to be re-oxygenated.
  3. The lymphatic system ensures that antibodies, and immune responses are within the system and directed to where it needs to be.

In conclusion, the circulatory system is a specialized system that spans across three independent systems.

How did Greek Myths help to end the "Greek Dark Age"?
Kazeer [188]

Answer:

The Greek myths helped to end the 'Greek Dark Age' by restoring the literacy that was lost in this era and creation of a new alphabet system.

Explanation:

The Greek Dark Age was a period in Greece when Greeks were ruled by Dorian. During those times, people lived scattered rather than in cities, thue making easy for Dorian to rule over them.

The term 'Dark Age' is used to describe an era about which little is known. Greek Dark Age was a period between 1100 BC to 800 BC during which people were nowhere near tto knowledge of arts or literature because people were mostly engaged in wars. Thus they did not have the time to write about anything.

By the end of 800 BC, the Mycenaean Linear B script was abandoned and new Greek Alphabet script was developed. This adoption of new alphabet system led to the recovery of literacy which was lost in the Greek Dark Ages. During these time new set of culture of Greek myths took place and led Greeks into a new era of Archaic Period.
