  • Oxygen is delivered to cells throughout the body by this system.
  • Nutrients are delivered to organs through this system.
  • This system removes carbon dioxide from organs and delivers it the lungs.
  • This system's organs passes oxygen into the bloodstream.
  • This system plays a major role in fighting infections.

The circulatory system works the following way:

  • Red blood cells (coming from the kidneys) pumped by the heart into the lungs drop carbon dioxide and collect each a molecule of oxygen.
  • The pressure from the heart keeps the blood moving to the small intestine where nutrients from the digestion process are picked up by the blood red cells.
  • Both oxygen and nutrients reach every cell in the body delivering nutrients and oxygen and picking up carbon dioxide and wastes from the cells' nutrition process
  • Blood carrying carbon dioxide and wastes is taken into the kidneys where all the solid wastes (carbon dioxide is a gas) are removed, and after that, blood returns to the heart, and the cycle starts all over again

Answer:

The circulatory system is a combination of other systems that are working together. These are the Heart, the Lungs and the arteries, veins and other vessels; the cardiovascular system, the pulmonary system and the systemic system.

Explanation:

The circulatory system in humans is responsible for

  1. Taking the oxygenated blood from the lungs to the heart
  2. The heart pumps the blood to all the organs and tissues in the body and the de-oxygenated blood returns to the lungs to be re-oxygenated.
  3. The lymphatic system ensures that antibodies, and immune responses are within the system and directed to where it needs to be.

In conclusion, the circulatory system is a specialized system that spans across three independent systems.

All options are correct.
