In this question they are generous enough to give you a set in which your 3-digit number can be, anywhere between 200 and 225. Now, we know the next number is a 1-digit number. Since the product of these numbers is positive, that eliminates the possibility of the 1-digit number being negative. This means your 1-digit number is any number between 0 and 9.

By process of elimination, you can so some simple math to find your answer.

If the 1-digit number is 1: 216+1=217 but 216×1=216, not 624.

If the 1-digit number is 2: 215+2=217 but 215×2=430

Now, if the 1-digit number is 3: 214+3=217 and 214×3=624.

So your numbers are 214 and 3!

A kite was broken into two triangles.
Mekhanik [1.2K]
<h2>Answer:</h2><h2>Area of the kite = 80 cm^{2} , Area of traingle = 40 cm^{2} and height of the triangle, h = 5 cm</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

A kite is broken into two triangles

Given the base of the traingle, b = 16 cm

Height of the triangle, h = 5 cm

Area of traingle = \frac{1}{2} (b.h)

= \frac{1}{2} (16) (5)

= 40 cm^{2}

Area of the kite = area of triangle 1 + area of triangle 2

  = 40 + 40

 = 80 cm^{2}

Four people John, Jane, Peter and James shared an amount of GH¢ 1,800.00.
svp [43]

Answer:

a) Peter:$400

b) John received more than Peter

Step-by-step explanation:

john:Jane:Peter:James

7:1/4(0.25):5:8

7+0.25+5+8 = 20.25

Jane

$1,800 × 0.25 ÷ 20.25 =$200

$1,800 - $200 = $1,600

20.25 - 0.25 = 20

Peter

$1600×5÷20= $400

John

$1600×7÷20=$560

Jacob and Isaiah are brothers. Their combined ages are 63. Jacob is 7 years older than Isaiah. How old are each of the boys?
SVETLANKA909090 [29]
There are two unknowns in this problem. To start, let's assign variables to each of them. Let x be the age of Jacob and y be the age of Isaiah. Then, we formulate equations based on the relationships stated.

x = 7 + y   --> eqn 1
x + y = 63  --> eqn 2

Substituting eqn 1 to eqn 2, then solve for x and y:

(7+y)+y = 63
7 + 2y = 63
2y = 63 - 7
2y = 56
y = 56/2
y = 28
x = 28 + 7 = 35

Therefore, Jacob is 35 years old, and Isaiah is 28 years old.
