The hot object transfers heat to the colder object until they are both the same temperature, but that is what happens when the two objects are put together. but i think when there is a body between the two then the body gets colder by losing heat (giving all heat to the objects)
so the answer is A.

Name two examples of catastrophic events which could lead to a mass extinction?
Lemur [1.5K]

Asteroid impact

Volcanic eruptions

Explanation:

Asteroid impact and volcanic eruptions are two common events that could lead to a mass extinction.

A mass extinction is an abrupt decrease in life on earth due some catastrophic event.

  • The collision of a large bolide on the surface of the earth is a catastrophe in itself.
  • The collision and its aftermath have destructive consequences on life.
  • The force of the collision can reverberate in form of vibration throughout the earth.
  • It can cause heating of the earth surface.
  • Volcanic eruptions can become global phenomenon that upsets the earth balance.

Compare and contrast the structures of DNA and RNA
katovenus [111]

DNA contains the sugar deoxyribose, while RNA contains the sugar ribose. The only difference between ribose and deoxyribose is that ribose has one more -OH group than deoxyribose, which has -H attached to the second (2') carbon in the ring. DNA is a double-stranded molecule, while RNA is a single-stranded molecule.
