French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte enacted a new legal framework for France, known as the Napoleonic Code.

<u>Explanation:</u>

The Napoleonic Code of law is stated as the French civil code formulated in 1804 under the French Consulate. It was prepared by a group of four renowned judges and come into force on 21 March 1804.

The Napoleonic Code taunted the power of men over their families stronger and women were not given any individual rights, and also decreased the rights of having illegitimate children. And it had imparted the differentiation between women and men by granting citizenship to males with equal rights under the law but colonial slavery was reintroduced.
