The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, also known as the Hart-Celler Act, was a bill that was proposed by Representative Emmanuel Celler of New York and it was co-sponsored by senator Phillip Hart from Michigan. Many political leaders, like Ted Kennedy, supported this bill, as well as northern American leaders and Republicans, while Southern leaders opposed it on racial grounds. In essence this bill came in response to the 1921 Emergency Quota Act, which had put a ban, through the National Origins Formula, to the immigration of all Europeans except from northern Europe, based on the number or residents and citizens from European origin. However, the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 raised this ban and lifted the discrimination against Europeans who were not from the north of the continent. What the bill of 1965 retained from old policies was the limits on immigration based on country of origin, but it established a new preferential visas for immigrants with special skills and also those who had family ties with citizens and residents in the U.S
Answer:
I would take the loan.
Explanation:
I would take the loan because all around, $77 dollars is not that much money in itself. It would be fairly easy to pay your grandparents back eventually. Plus, if you have a strong desire and need for the item that costs $100, so much so that you would not mind paying technically $7 more to your grandparents in interest in total cost, it does not seem like so bad a decision. Overall, the interest rate would be 10%, which is quite low. In conclusion, I would definitely take the loan. :)
