Lautrec’s posters style was deeply inclined by ukiyo-e prints of the Japanese. Parts of flat color bound by solid silhouettes, heavy outlines, slanted points are all distinctive of piece patterns by Japanese artists like Utagawa Hiroshige and  Katsushika Hokusai.  </span>
