Answer: D. nipped-in waist dresses

Explanation: The nipped-in waist dresses are the best option to emphasize femininity because they make the waist look smaller without the illusion of broad shoulders. Clothes that emphasize the waist are ideal for creating the hourglass shape. Clothes that are loose and squared makes the waist look boxy and is considered more masculine.

Answer:

The Three Fs stood for fair rent, fixity of tenure and free sale

Explanation:

Free sale, fixity of tenure, and fair rent, also known as the Three Fs, were a set of demands first issued by the Tenant Right League in their campaign for land reform in Ireland from the 1850s.

  • Fair rent—meaning rent control: for the first time in the United Kingdom, fair rent would be decided by land courts, and not by the landlords;
  • Free sale—meaning a tenant could sell the interest in his holding to an incoming tenant without landlord interference;
  • Fixity of tenure—meaning that a tenant could not be evicted if he had paid the rent.

Many historians argue that their absence contributed severely to the Great Irish Famine (1846–49), as it allowed the mass eviction of starving tenants. The Three Fs were campaigned for by a number of political movements, notably the Independent Irish Party (1852–1858) and later the Irish Parliamentary Party during the Land War (from 1878). They were conceded by the British Government in a series of Irish Land Acts enacted from the 1870s on, with essentially full implementation in the Land Law (Ireland) Act 1881.

what led to the increase in successful Independence movements in Africa and Asia following the World War II
marishachu [46]

There were numerous factors that contributed to the successful independence movements in Africa and Asia, some of which were the economic conditions of the imperial countries, the formation of the United Nations, the global propaganda and push for liberation and living the people rule their own countries...

After the World War II ended, the imperial countries were in terrible economic conditions. This meant that they had to focus on rebuilding their countries, thus having no power to retain their imperialism.

The United Nations was formed after the World War II, and some of the goals of this organization were the respecting of human rights, living the people decide for their own future, and the abolishing of the imperialism. That was also supported by the numerous movements for independence around the world, the political propaganda, and the large international support.

All of that led to independence of the Asian and African countries, though the setting of the borders created lot of problems for them.
