1. Broadway is one of the iconic places in both American history as well as it is the iconic place in contemporary America. Early on advertisers found out that electric bulbs had a great advertising potential and the area was flooded with them. Dazzling visitors it earned the name the Great White Way.

2. Prohibition well prohibited the manufacturing and sale of alcohol. But that didn't go well as the government expected it to go. More and more people started manufacturing and selling booze illegally and that led to the rise of organized crime.

3. The people lived well, there was innovation at the period and the role of women began to change. The image of a new women began to emerged, one who not only was efficient at housework but one that could have a career. Women got the right to vote and the suffrage movement bloomed. The pace of life led women to liberate themselves through fashion also. Sexual liberation was also prominent during this period.
