You’re trying to make someone feel bad for “breaking your grandma’s heart.” You’re not saying, “your grandma agrees that it would break her heart,” or “your mom and dad both say it would upset grandma,” which would be ethos. You’re also not saying anything logical or statistical. This leaves pathos as your answer.

The effect of the narrative description of Huck's father is of a man who is not looked after, who is poverty stricken and unkempt and with low self esteem and for example re his hair that was greasy and hung down ie was dirty and not combed shows this. I think the similarity stated would be the same setting in Romeo and Juliet wherein Juliet pretends to be dead when she was found by her family. The scene and the painting were also taken from a dark tomb with a priest talking in front of the dead virgin and her family.
