Alright so first you wanna use the inverse operation for the number that doesnt have the variable.

Math:

14-6=8

now that you have 4x=8 simply divided 8 by 4 and you would get 2 =x

To check the answer just simply switch x with 2 and done.

good luck!

to solve you would subtract 6 to both sides of the equation, the equation is now 4x=6-14. 6-14 is 8 so the equation would be 4x=8. then you would divide 4 to both sides and the ANSWER IS x=2

Compound probability can be greater than 1. Trueor False?
vivado [14]

Answer:

False

Step-by-step explanation:

Compound probability is the likeliness of two or more events occurring together.

Probability can never be greater than 1 whatever form it takes. Its values range between zero and one. When a probability is multiplied with any particular number such as n ( number of trials) we get expected value or whatever the formula says but probability itself is never greater than 1.

If we get the answer of any question where the found probability is greater than 1 the answer is wrong because probability is not greater than 1.

The sum of all probabilities may be nearly equal to 1 like 0.99999 etc.

Is anyone really good at math?
Gre4nikov [31]

Answer: 12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

\mathtt{Using\ the \ pythagorean \ theorem: \\}

a^2+b^2=c^2, \\\ we\ can\ plug\ in\ values\ for\ a,\ b,\ and\ c

L=a\ and\ M=b\ and\ N=c

Therefore,

L^2+35^2=37^2\\L^2+1225=1369\\L^2=144\\\sqrt{L^2} =\sqrt{144} \\L=\pm12\\Taking\ only\ the\ positive\ answer,\ we\ get:\\\large\boxed{L = 12cm}

Factor the expression 2x^2-5x-3
adell [148]

Answer:

(2x+1)(x-3) is the factorized form of the given expression

Step-by-step explanation:

=2x^2-5x-3

By using sum and product rule

=2x^2-6x+1x-3

By taking common

=2x(x-3)+1(x-3)

=(2x+1)(x-3)

I hope this will help you :)

Need help w this onee thankss!!
skad [1K]

Step-by-step explanation:

if you draw an imaginary perpendicular line across the figure from the vertex which joins the line of 2 cm with the line that is making an angle of X then you can see that this figure is made up of two figures that is a triangle and a rectangle.

now from the angle given i.e X.

perpendicular= 5 cm

base = 14 -2= 12 cm

hypotenuse= ?

we know that,

h² = p²+b²

= 5²+12²=169

h= √169

h= 13

again,

cos X = b/h

= 12/13
