This isn’t easy due to fractions but you just need to find a common denominator, what goes into 9 evenly and also goes into 4 evenly. 36 works and it is the lowest common denominator. What number multiplied by 9 gets you 36? (36/9) 4. So Emma uses 4/36ths of a gallon of gas to get 9/36ths of the way to work. So you take (4/36) or .25 and multiply that by 9 to get...

Using the slope and the y intercept, graph the line represented by the following equation.
PtichkaEL [24]
Beforehand let me apologize for my sloppy handwriting. I'm a lefty, so please deal with me. . Anyway, the equation you listed didn't really have a x, because a linear equation is y= mx+b, and anything with x is the slope. But I did see y and a number on one side, so I'm like maybe I can get these two alone. So here's what I did:

2y + 4=0
-4 -4 I subtracted 4 on both sides. Why because you would want "y" alone.
Next,
2y= -4
Now to get "y" alone you want to divide on both sides.
2y= -4/ 2
y= -2
Now you're probably thinking "how do you graph it? There's no "x" in the equation." Well, you just graph it. Since the answer is y= -2, you go to the y axis, look for -2, and place a line to indicate that is the equation. And to make it clear, remember y is the y-intercept.

I really do hope this helps you, if not message me. I'll be happy to help, and again I'm sorry for my handwriting!

Two supplementary angles are in a ratio of 7:11. find the measures of each angle
Over [174]

Answer:

70° and 110°

Step-by-step explanation:

Supplementary angles sum to 180°

sum the parts of the ratio, 7 + 11 = 18 parts

Divide 180° by 18 to find the value of one part of the ratio.

180° ÷ 18 = 10° ← value of 1 part, thus

7 parts = 7 × 10° = 70°

11 parts = 11 × 10° = 110°

The 2 angles are 70° and 110°
