Answer:

x = 3√2 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let Δ ABC is a right triangle with ∠ ABC = 90°.

We draw an altitude from B on AC at point D and AD = CD = 3 units.

We have to find x.

Now, BD is the perpendicular bisector of side AC and hence, Δ ABC is a right isosceles triangle.

So, AB = BC = x

And AC = 3 + 3 = 6 units.

So, applying Pythagoras Theorem, AB² + BC² = AC²

⇒ x² + x² = 6²

⇒ 2x² = 36

⇒ x² = 18

⇒ x = 3√2 units. (Answer)

Last year Billy weighed 75kg. This year he weighed 90kg. With what percentage did his weight increase. SHOW ALL WORK!!!
polet [3.4K]

well let's round. 90= 100, 75=80 that is how I face it. now 80 is 1/5 of 5/5= 100. so as a (%) we would sort it like:::: it is 80% out of +100 so he must have grown around 13%-16% due to him being 75kg in the past.

5y+30 5 complete the factoring ...?
krek1111 [17]
Well, I don't really understand if it is 30 or 305 because of the spacing but I'll answer both. If it is 5y+305, just divide the whole equation by 5 and it will look like this (<u>5y+305)</u>  then the factor would be 5(y+61)<u>
</u>                   5
If it is 5y+30 it would be just in the same process, Divide the equation by 5 and the result will be 5(y+6).

Which test point holds true for the inequality 3/2y-2x&gt;=1? Where does the shaded area lie for this inequality? The test point
Tanya [424]

The test That holds true for this inequality is given as 1/4 and 1

<h3>How to solve for the inequality</h3>

3/2 y - 2x > 1

The goal is to make y the subject

then

3/2 y > 2x + 1

We have to divide through the equation by 3/2

Such that  y  > 4/3 x + 2/3
