The equation is 5^{3} × 5^{-2}

First, you need to solve the bases/exponents

5^{3} is 5×5×5=125

Then you solve the second base/exponent but know that with negative exponents, you divide 1 by the number rather than multiplying

5^{-2}= 1÷5÷5=.04

So now the equation is 125×.04=5

Answer: 5
