It should be B because if class average will increase then the cost of books will be increased. Therefore, class average will be independent variable and cost of books will be dependant.

Hope this helps you out... :)

The segments shown below could form a triangle ac=9. cb=8. ba=17
krek1111 [17]
The lengths of sides of a triangle have to satisfy the triangle inequality, which states that the sum of the two shorter sides must exceed the length of the third side.

Here 9+8=17 (not greater), so these segments do not form a triangle.

a flagpole casts a shadow 160 feet long. At the same time, a boy standing nearby who is 5 feet tall casts a shadow 20 feet long.
Veronika [31]

Answer:

The flagpole is 40 feet tall.

Step-by-step explanation:

So, we are looking for the height of the flagpole. Let h represent this height.

Boy - 5 feet in height and casts a 20-foot shadow

Flag pole - h feet in height and casts a 160-foot shadow

The relationship looks something like this:

5 : 20 :: h : 160

or

\frac{5}{20} =\frac{h}{160}

Now, we can cross multiply to find h!

20h=800\\h=40

So, the flagpole is 40 feet tall

On Jiamin's trip to Wisconsin, her average rate of speed for the whole 5-hour trip was 62 miles per hour. For the first two hour
GaryK [48]
Average speed for the entire journey was 62 miles per hour.
Total time of the journey was 5 hours.

In first 2 hours, her average speed was 60 miles per hour. This means, she covered 120 miles in first two hours, as

Distance = Speed x Time

The total distance of the entire journey was:

Total Distance = 62 x 5 =310 miles

Out of these 310 miles, she covered 120 miles in first two hours. So this means she covered (310 - 120) miles in next 3 hours.

Thus she covered 190 miles in 3 hours. So her average speed will be 190/3 miles per hour which is equal to 63.33 miles per hour.

So, the average speed for last 3 hours of the trip was 63.33 miles per hour

Change the followong decimals to percents and order them on the number line from least to gratest useing this numbers 0.02 ' 0.9
olganol [36]

Answer:

2%

15%

25%

90%

Step-by-step explanation:

To turn decimals to percents, you just have to times them by 100 or you can just do the quick way and move the decimal 2 places to the right.

0.02*100 = 2%

0.9*100 = 90%

0.25*100 = 25%

0.15*100 = 15%

Then, you just put them in order:

2%

15%

25%

90%
