We need to turn this phrase into an algebraic equation and then solve...

in math
"of" means times (x)
"is" means equals (=)
"sum" means you're going to add

The sum (we are going to add) of 15 and six times a number t (15 + 6t) is 81 (= 81).  So write it out...

15 + 6t = 81

Now solve for t.  First subtract 15 from each side...

15 + 6t - 15 = 81 - 15
6t = 66

Now divide each side by 6 to get t by itself...

6t/6 = 66/6

t = 11

Well the sum is 15+6=21. then you must do 81-21=60. So your answer must be t=60.

Lorie correctly determines that for the triangles below, the statement pg and the statement both describe the relationship betwe
Tasya [4]

Answer:

The correct option is 1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Two triangles are called similar if all the corresponding angles are congruent or all corresponding sides are in same proportion.

In triangle MNO and triangle RTS.

\angle M\cong\angle R=54.4^{\circ}          (Given)

\angle N\cong\angle T=71.2^{\circ}            (Given)

According to the angle sum property, the sum of all interior angles of a triangle is 180 degree. Since two corresponding angles are congruent, therefore third angle is also congruent.

\angle O\cong\angle S=54.4^{\circ}

Since all corresponding angles are congruent, therefore the triangles MNO and RTS similar.

The triangle are congruent by AA rule of similarity. Each triangle has two congruent angles, therefore both triangles are similar. Option 1 is correct.

A person is walking at a rate of 9 feet every 4 seconds.(b) Given the rate in (a), how far would this
Crank

Answer:

2.25 feet

31.5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the person travels 9 feet every 4 seconds, it means that in one second, the distance walked

= 9/4

= 2.25 feet

If the person walks 2.25 feet in a second then in 14 seconds, the distance walked

= 2.25*14/1

= 31.5 feet
