An example of an influence of Judaism and Christianity is Gothic architecture. Gothic architecture was first used in Christian churches in Europe during medieval times as a substitute for Romanesque architecture. Gothic churches included large, decorative windows that allowed light come in during sermons, while Romanesque churches had small windows and were dimly lit.

Another influence of Judaism and Christianity are the Crusades. Christians (whose religion originated from Judaism) fought against Muslims in the Middle East during the medieval ages to take back what they saw as holy land, and these wars resulted in hostilities that still exist today.

What was the principal reason the Federal government spent so much money during the Bush administration?
BigorU [14]

Answer:

To fight the war on terror

Explanation:

President Bush's administration spent a lot of money because of the war against terror. The president had increased spending more than 6 of the presidents before his tenure. The president spent almost twice as much as Bill Clinton.

The spendings were so high due to the need to improve security and also because of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Lots of money was spent on the invasion of Iraq. These enormous War costs were part of the reason the country suffered the economic crisis of 2009.

STRUGGLES IN THE SOUTH (PAGES 160-169)
laiz [17]

Answer:

There were a couple of reasons for moving to the southern colonies. The first would be that they were loosing in the North and wanted to try and pierce the South to get ports and some ground to wage war.

They also believed that many slaves would embrace their liberation and join their cause against their former masters.

If they captured the South ports they could transport troops and equipment a lot quicker and easier from the British West Indies.

And they thought that there were more loyalists in the South and that would mean more domestic manpower for holding the lines.
