Therefore, bronchitis is an inflammation of the mucous membrane in the air passages or bronchial tubes of the lungs that usually causes bronchospasm and coughing.

Moreover, prefixes, root words and suffixes are building blocks derived from Latin or Greek to construct medical terms.
