Answer:

You get an perpendicular line through given point.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this method of drawing perpendicular line through given point,

you will draw an arc from given point R, so as to cut given line at A and B.

now ,length RA will be equal to length RB (radius of circle)

now, with length RA you will place compass at A and B to cut the arcs at point P (let) on other side of given line.Now, join PA and PB.

The closed RAPB makes a rhombus and diagonal bisect perpendicularly in rhombus.

so you get an perpendicular line through given point.

Answer:

The compass point must be placed on points A and B because you need to make arcs which would allow you to make the perpendicular line through the given line. The construction would be different if the compass point were placed at random points on the original line because then the line would not be lined up correctly in the middle and it will not be correct, hence why you need to put the compass on A and B.

A group of friends went fishing. They each caught 20 fish but not all of them were keepers. Which person was able to keep 3/5 of
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

Those who were able to keep 12 fishes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Total = 20 (each)

Required

Which was able to keep 3/5

First, we need to calculate 3/5 of the total number of fishes

Fish = 3/5 * 20

Fish = (3 * 20)/5

Fish = 60/5

Fish = 12

From the calculation above, only those who keep 12 of the 20 fishes were able to keep 3/5 of their fishes
