Answer:

1) Close friends being open

2) Family being nice

3) Strangers being rude

Explanation:

3 Actions that have impacted my life are how my friends have been open with themselves, allowing me to realize we should care for each other even if we are not family, my close family teaching me to be kind towards others, and to not be disrespectful, and strangers who have been rude to me when walking down the street, giving me a rougher edge to handle myself in life.

2 examples I can think of are when

1. One time, I was sitting on my driveway selling lemonade, when some guy asked for some 25 cent lemonade and said "This tastes like garbage." From that very moment, I had gained a sense of self-respect, defending me and my lemonade to a reasonable human standard.

2. When one of my friends was crying, I realized that I was there for them, to make them feel better, and too impact their life. They would do the same for me, and being there for someone isn't something that is restricted to being in a blood-born family.

1)
-my mom supports me in whatever I do that is reasonable. I want to start my own business and she is helping me. She is showing me I can do whatever I put my mind to
-my friend is a good example of what not to do because she is was always skipping class and this year she is paying for it. I do not want to do more work than I have to.
-my dad is a good example of going through with actions. He is an entrepreneur. He was ambitious enough and that is why I am so ambitious today.

2)
-1st event: I was bullied by my used-to-be-friends and always was harassing me. They lived across the street. One time I stood up for my self two day after that I woke up to my dog being hit by a car. It was them that did. I blame myself still for her death. However deep in my heart I know it was not all my fault.

-2nd: we just had a barn fire almost none of my animals were hurt except for my goat. He was burnt very badly and my horses are traumatized along with my family. When I woke up at 4 o’clock to see the flames roaring I started freaking out I couldn’t find my horse luckily they had escaped. My goat was still trapped. As dumb as this sound I almost ran under the structure to save him but he walked right over to my mom. This event showed me that I need to be more organized in hard situations like that.

What clues suggest Farquhar may not be totally reliable as a witness?
Sav [38]

Answer:

Fahrquhar's fantasy and imaginative narration implies that he may not be trusted as a reliable witness.

Explanation:

'An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge' is a short story written by Ambrose Bierce. The story is about a man named Peyton Fahrquhar, who is hanged in the story and also narrates the events that caused this hanging.

Peyton Fahrquhar is a middle-aged man of about thirty-five years of age. He desires to be a part of Confederate Army and support the cause of Southerners. In Part III, after Fahquhar was hanged, he fanstasize himself to be free from ropes on his hands and neck and marvelously escaped from Federal's hanging. By the difference between the Third-person narrator's description and Fahrquhar's witness of his escape dictates that Fahrquhar was fantasizing his escape but in reality he is dead.

<em>'Doubtless, despite his suffering, he had fallen asleep while  walking, for now he sees another scene—</em><u><em>perhaps he has merely  recovered from a delirium</em></u><em>. He stands at the gate of his own  home. All is as he left it, and all bright and beautiful in the  morning sunshine. He must have traveled the entire night.'</em>

The last statement of the story also verifies that Fahrquhar's witnessing is unreliable:

<em>'Peyton Fahrquhar was dead; his body, with a broken neck,  swung gently from side to side beneath the timbers of the Owl  Creek bridge.'</em>

When Fahrquhar was imagining his escape, he was hung on the Owl Creek Bridge.

21. Based on what you know about prefixes, suffixes, and root words, what does AUTOBIOGRAPHY
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

The prefix auto means 'self', for example automotive which means a self powered vehicle. The root of bio means 'life' like the world biology which is the study of life. Finally, graph(y) in terms of a root word means writing. So overall, using the root words as well as the prefix you can determine the word autobiography means a written document of a life written by themselves rather than someone else.
