The best diet to follow is rich in fruits, vegetables and whole grains, with animal products and sugar in small amounts. This diet is one that we should all follow through a </span><span><span>balanced diet.</span>

    - 50 to 55% of carbohydrates (carbohydrate) a tenth maximally as sugar;
    - 30 to 35% lipids;
    - 10 to 15% of proteins.

Certain foods are preferred:

- starchy foods: bran bread or cereal, pasta "al dente", brown rice, whole grains (not corn flakes), pulses (except beans);
-green leafy vegetables;
- fruit except watermelon and pineapple;
- white meat and poultry;
-  fish at least twice per week.</span>
