I think you need to find the area of the highlighted(yellow) part of the figure.

You can think of the yellow part as two squares with sides of 10 inches.

To find the area of a square, you do:

A = s²      or         A = s × s          (A = area, s = side length)

So find the area of both of the squares and add them together:

A = s × s

A = 10 × 10

A = 100 in²

Since both of the squares are the same(they have the same length), you can do:

100 in² + 100 in² = 200 in²

The area is 200 in²

Answer:

200 inch²

Step-by-step explanation:

You can see that they are both identical polyhedrons.

So the area of the selected face is:

Area of the upper face which is 10 inch × 10 Inch = 100 inch²

Area of the downer face which is 10 inch × 10 Inch = 100 inch²

So the net area should equal to 200 inch²

I hope this helps !

Which is the equation of the given line in slope-intercept form? y= -1/4 x +1 y= -4x+1 y=4x-1 y=4x=+1
Masteriza [31]

Answer:

y=4x+1

Step-by-step explanation:

The line is shown in the attachment.

The slope of this line is given by: m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

The line passes through (0,1) and (1,5)

Plug in the points to get:

m=\frac{5-1}{1-0}=4

The equation of this line is given by y=mx +b, where b=1 is the y-intercept.

From the graph the y-intercept is 1, because the line intersects the y-axis at (0,1).

Therefore the equation is y=4x+1
