Answer:

A. are used to identify fungi

Explanation:

There are three modes of reproduction present if fungi

 • Sexual reproduction: the fusion of two nuclei i.e. two sex cells . In sexual reproduction, the genes from the two parents are combined, hence produce offspring with different combinations of genes from the parent.
 • Vegetative reproduction (sometimes grouped as asexual reproduction because sex cells are not involved): e.g. fragmentation, budding. The mother cell divides to produce a daughter cell
 • asexual reproduction

In asexual reproduction, fungi produce spores in specialized structures which are used in reproduction. Asexual spores are produced through mitosis. An example of asexual spore is conidia.

Asexual reproduction is the most common mode of reproduction in fungi. Fungi asexual spores can be viewed under the microscope and are used to identify fungi.

Asexual spores are economical to make, hence they are widely produced by fungi. They are produced when nutrients are (or are not) limiting.

Answer:

a. are used to identify fungi

Explanation:

The type of asexual spore that a fungi produces can be very helpful in the identification of species. When, fungi produce spores asexually by mitosis, the genetic makeup of spores is exact same as the parent specie. So, by examining the spore the most accurate estimate of a specie can be done.

Which best defines a diploid cell during meiosis?
Lubov Fominskaja [6]
Diploid cells. Meiosis is the process of cell division by which involving gametes. Cell division is just the same for sperm and egg cells, but they have distinguishable descriptions and labels in the process. Spermatogenesis is for the males’ sperm cells and oogenesis is the process for females’ egg cells. The cell division of meiosis involves the two phases, respectively meiosis I and meiosis II. Meiosis I like mitosis is the cell division that produces diploid cells. These diploid cells are cells that contain a complete pair of chromosomes which is 46. The result is two diploid cells after the first meiosis. To provide clear explanation, in contrast haploid cells only contain 23 chromosomes and are created after meiosis II which is 4 in number.

Use the words in the word bank and arrows you draw to complete the diagram so it tells how the Sun provides the energy that driv
SSSSS [86.1K]

The correct flowchart is energy - > atmosphere - > air pressure - > convection - > global winds. This is a very simple process as explained.

Explanation:

The energy from the sun actually heats up the land surface and the water surface of the earth. As the land gets heated up, the layer of atmosphere that is adjacent to the land and water also gets heated up. This leads to the decrease of air density as the heat causes expansion of gases. With decrease in air density, the air pressure also drops and the air from the cooler layer of atmosphere above comes to fill up the space and this heated air goes up. This causes the convection current to get set up. This causes the global winds and different oceanic currents to flow all over the earth throughout the year.
