The best way to find a summary is acting like your friend did not read, so you need to tell them what happened before the test begins.

with the example given above, the best summary would be the first ("The champion found a dragon..."(

Answer:

Hi! It seems to me that the correct summary of this section is <u>the first one: </u>

<em>"The champion found a dragon in the house, and saw a shield that said whoever slayed the dragon would get the shield. He lifted up his stick, hit the dragon in the head, and with a horrible shriek, the dragon died." </em>

Explanation:

I chose the first option because, although it is not the way I would write it, <u>it is the one that best creates the tone and accomplishes with a summary characteristics. </u>

<u>A summary</u> is not supposed to tell the story with all the details, it is supposed to tell the reader what the story is about. It <u>is supposed to tell the big picture, the theme of the story. </u>

The second option has many details, and I don't think it is the best way to create a summary. It tells more than it should. On the other hand, <em>the first one</em>, although it tells how the story ends and it definitely shouldn't, <em>tells the reader what the story is about without so many details.</em> That is why I chose the first option.

cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

B- She wants the freedom boys have

Explanation:

Because she says that it's bad enough with being a girl, and it doesn't really say that she wants to look a certain way and the narrator doesn't mention anything about thinking that she's different. It also doesn't say that she doesn't want to grow up, she just wants to be allowed to do things that boys are allowed to do.

jeka57 [31]
The answer is 3. personification and simile, because the author is giving Spring human-like qualities, and is comparing it with something else using the word "like", which is used in similes.

A dystopia is a community or society that is undesirable or frightening. It is translated as "bad place" It is an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice, typically one that is totalitarian or post-apocalyptic.
