To make it easier, let's use A for adult and S for student for our variables, any letter can be used though!
The coefficient represents the price of the ticket for the variable or person.
7.25a+5.50s=T <- That is the total for any number of adults and students, in this case the total is 52.75 so we can write that instead.
7.25a+5.50s=52.75. This is the first part of our system.
Then for the second part, we want to know how many people of each kind went, so that means that some number of adults plus some number of students is equal to 8, and we will write this as a+s=8.

That is our system:
a+s=8
7.25a+5.50s=52.75

(27^-x+3)(9^x+1)=81 what is answer?
Leni [432]
(27⁽⁻ˣ⁺³⁾) (9⁽ˣ⁺¹⁾) = 81

Instead of using logarithmic to find x, Notice that 27, 9 and 81 are the perfect powers of 3. Since 27 = 3³, 9 = 3², and 81 = 3⁴, so

(3³⁽⁻ˣ⁺³⁾) (3²⁽ˣ⁺¹⁾) = 3⁴
3³⁽⁻ˣ⁺³⁾⁺²⁽ˣ⁺¹⁾ = 3⁴

If the bases are the same, then cancel it and bring the power as a new base.
3(-x+3) + 2(x+1) = 4
-3x + 9 + 2x + 2 = 4
-x + 11 = 4
-x = 4 - 11
-x = -7
x = 7

Mrs. Isabelle is making paper and plastic foam animals for her first-grade class. She is calculating the amount of wasted materi
PSYCHO15rus [73]
We are given square with side length l. The largest circle that we can cut from that square has diameter equal to that side. This circle is called inscribed circle.

When cutting circle from square paper we will be left with some extra paper. Area of that extra paper can be calculated using formula:
area_of_extra_paper = area_of_square - area_of_circle

Now we can insert formulas:
A =  l^{2} -  ( \frac{l}{2} )^{2}  * \pi  \\ A=l^{2} -   \frac{l^{2}}{4} * \pi  \\ A=l^{2} (1- \frac{ \pi }{4} )

This is area of extra paper when we cut one circle. When we cut multiple circles we have:
A=N*l^{2} (1- \frac{ \pi }{4} )
Where:
N = number of circles
This formula is roughly:
A=0.785*N*l^{2}
