 the shape of the telescope is said to be a parabola. In this case, t<span>he general form which we will pattern our equation is  y- k= 4a(x – h)^2
 (h,k) or vertex = (0,0)
y = 4ax^2
We substitute x = 320/2 = 160, y = 46

46 = 4a (160)^2
46 = 4a (25600)
4a = 23/12800
hence the equation is </span>y = (<span>23/12800)</span>x^2

1) 136 is the circumference of a circle with what area? we know C=πd.
136=πd
136/π=d
d=43.290 so the radius is half that, or
r=21.645
taking area as our measure of size,
A=πr²
A=π•21.645²
A=1471.855. answer C is closest. difference is in how they and I rounded

Given m = -1/5 and the point (1, 2), which of the following is the point-slope form of the equation?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

y - 2 = -1/5(x - 1).

Step-by-step explanation:

y - y1 = m(x - x1) is the general form .

Here x1 = 1, y1 = 2 and m = -1/5, so it is:

y - 2 = -1/5(x - 1).
