If you were president at the end of World War II, which major issues would you focus on fixing?
Charra [1.4K]

Refer to this link for the complete question: brainly.com/question/11018884

As I answered before, when a world war has just finished, the country's resources are depleted. So, it is difficult to provide jobs and houses for returning soldiers because these would require manpower and monetary resources. The period after the war is dedicated to picking up the scrap and trying to make do with what's available through cooperation. So, for me, the most appropriate course of action is helping labor unions work together with businesses.

The food production practices of the Olmec can best be described as...
Helga [31]

Answer:

C. Pastoralism

Explanation:

The Olmec culture flourished along the Gulf Coast of Mexico from around 1200-400 B.C. The Olmecs exercised basic agricultural practices using the slash and burn method in which the whole vegetation is burned and brushing the soil, in order to allow the ash to rest which acts as fertilizers. They opted to setlle near water, because the floodplains were good for agriculture, and it was easier to have fish and shellfish. However, hunting was a major source of food. Deers and domesticated dogs served the requirement of meat.

In the era immediately following the coup that overthrew Jacobo Árbenz in 1954, how did the United States maintain its influence
Archy [21]

Answer:

A CIA appointee headed the new dictatorship

Explanation:

As the Cold War heated up in the 1950s, the United States made decisions on foreign policy with the goal of containing communism. To maintain its hegemony in the Western Hemisphere, the U.S. intervened in Guatemala in 1954 and removed its elected president, Jacobo Arbenz, on the premise that he was soft on communism.

The threat of communism spreading throughout Latin America gave the CIA the support to overthrow the Guatemala government without disrupting the United Fruit Company and their products.
