Answer:

5th and 6th terms will be 60 and 600.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given pattern of the numbers is 0.006, 0.06, 0.6, 6......

We can rewrite the pattern as 0.006, (0.006×10), (0.006×10²), (0.006×10³),......

As we can see its a geometric sequence.

So the explicit formula of the pattern will be T_{n}=a\times 10^{n-1}

Where a = first term = 0.006

r = common ratio = \frac{0.006\times 10}{0.006} = 10

n =  Number of the term

So the explicit formula will be T_{n}=(0.006)\times 10^{n-1}

Now we have to get 5th and 6th term.

T_{5}=(0.006)\times 10^{5-1}

              =0.006\times 10^{(5-1)}

              =0.006\times 10^{(4)}

              = 60

T_{6}=(0.006)\times 10^{6-1}

               = 0.006\times 10^{5}

               = 0.006\times 100000

               = 600

Therefore, 5th and 6th terms will be 60 and 600.

Select 2 statements that are true about the equation y+6=-10(x-3).
natta225 [31]

Answer:

(1) and (4)

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

y + 6 = - 10(x - 3) is in this form

with slope m = - 10 → (1)

(a, b) = (3, - 6) → (4)

Identify the quadratic function(s). (Select all that apply.) 8 - 5x = 4(3x - 1) (4a + 2)(2a - 1) + 1 = 0 2y + 2(3y - 5) = 0 2b(b
tigry1 [53]
A function is described as a quadratic function if the highest power of the variables of the function is 2.

For
8 - 5x = 4(3x - 1)=12x-4 \\  \\ 12x+5x-8-4=0 \\  \\ 17x-12=0
The highest power of x is 1, hence, the function is not a quadratic function.

For
(4a + 2)(2a - 1) + 1 = 0 \\  \\ 8a^2-4a+4a-2+1=0 \\  \\ 8a^2-1=0
The highest power of a is 2, hence, the function is a quadratic function.

For
2y + 2(3y - 5) = 0 \\  \\ 2y+6y-10=0 \\  \\ 8y-10=0
The highest power of y is 1, hence, the function is not a quadratic function.

For
2b(b - 7) + b = 0 \\  \\ 2b^2-14b+b=0 \\  \\ 2b^2-13b=0
The highest power of b is 2, hence, the function is a quadratic function.

Therefore, the quadratic functions are (4a + 2)(2a - 1) + 1 = 0 and <span>2b(b - 7) + b = 0</span>
