Anti anxiety drugs are those drugs that are used to treat anxiety conditions in humans. Patients using anti anxiety drugs usually become addicted to the drug and this creates another problem entirely. In order to avoid this dilemma, some psychiatrists had developed the practice of prescribing antidepressant drugs instead of giving anti anxiety drugs. Antidepressant drugs are meant for countering the effects of depression.
