Answer: Allele

A gene is a basic unit of inheritance. A gene is located on a fixed position in a chromosome. They consists of genetic information in the form of nucleotides.  They provide instructions to the cell machinery or organelles to produce specialized molecules called as proteins. Proteins are produced in order to perform a specialized function in the organism. An allele is a form of gene. The genes have two alternate forms of alleles, either of the allele when expressed in the organism produces a particular phenotype.

Describe the two different notations used to specify isotopes and give an example of each.
Georgia [21]
There are two ways that can be used to name isotopes of an element. This is best illustrated by examples. We'll use the element chlorine for simplicity.

The first example is the more common one. The formula for this notation is E-m where E is the name of the element and m is the mass number.
(1) Chlorine-35
(2) Chlorine-37
(3) Chlorine 38

Another is less commonly used. The formula for this notation is m^ a L where m is the mass number, a is the atomic number and L is the first letter of the element.
(1) 35^ 35 Cl
(2) 37^ 35 Cl
(3) 38^ 35 Cl

In a flowering plant, blue flower (B) trait is dominant to white flower (b) trait. A true-breeding blue flower plant (BB) is cro
scoundrel [369]

Answer: D. 100%

Explanation:

One parent is with is a true breeding blue flowering plants this means the two alleles of the genotype are homozygous dominant alleles (BB).

The other parent is a true breeding with flowering plant, this means the two alleles of the genotype are homozygous recessive alleles (BB).

When both parents are crossed, the possible genotype outcome is

B B  *  b b

Bb Bb Bb Bb

Therefore since the blue flowering plant allele (B) is dominant to the white flowering plant allele (b) the probability of an offspring outcome to be a blue flowering plant is 4/4 which is 100%.44

Answer is 100%
