-2(4g-3)=30

Multiply the bracket by -2

(-2)(4g)=-8g

(-2)(-3)=6

-8g+6=30

Move +6 to the other side. Sign changes from +6 to -6.

-8g+6-6=30-6

-8g=30-6

-8g=24

Divide both sides by -8

-8g/-8=24/-8

Cross out 8 and 8, divide by 8 and then becomes 1*1*g=g

g=24/-8

Answer: g=-3

Answer:

g =  - 3

Step-by-step explanation:

- 2(4g - 3) = 30

- 8g + 6 = 30

- 8g + 6 - 6 = 30 - 6

- 8g = 24

\frac{ - 8g}{ - 8}  =  \frac{24}{ - 8}

g =  - 3

A rectangular doormat is 21 inches long and has an area of 714 square inches. Find its width. Is the doormat wide enough to cove
Andre45 [30]

Answer:

34; 34 inches is not long enough

Step-by-step explanation:

A doormat is the shape of a rectangle and its area uses A=l*w. If the area is 714 and its length is 21, then 714 = 21*w. Solve for w.

714=21w

714/21= 21w/21

34 = w

Ronin kicks a ball over the gate of the first floor balcony. The function h(t)=-36t^2+288t+9 can be used to model the height of
ale4655 [162]

Answer: 4 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The function h(t)=-36t^2+288t+9 can be used to model the height of the ball where t is the time in seconds after the ball kicked and h(t) is the height in feet.

Differentiate the given function with respect to t , we get

h'(t)=-36(2)t+288=-72t+288

Put h'(t)=0

\Rightarrow\ -72t+288=0\Rightarrow\ t=\dfrac{288}{72}\\\\\Rightarrow\ t=4

Also, h''(t)=-72

By second derivative test, h(t) is maximum at t=4.

Hence, the time in Devon which the ball reaches it maximum height = 4 seconds
