Answer:

d. act as a control that would ensure that the results obtained are due to a difference in only one variable.

Explanation:

The primary reason for including a comparison population within the design of this experiment in which there was a need to also examine a comparison population of humans in which births took place every month would be to act as a control that would ensure that the results obtained are due to a difference in only one variable. This would ensure more accuracy of the experiment in relation to the factor considered.

Answer:

a) There is a dearth of institutions for social sciences and humanities in India who are experiential in teaching. The closest ones people know are: Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai and IIT’s which to some extent keep some practical component while institutions like JNU and certain courses in some Central Universities do not have that. I do not have a specific take on some emerging private institutions like Ashoka University, O P Jindal except for the fact that they are quite expensive. Some highly specialised institutions like IIPS, Mumbai or Centre for Developing Studies, Trivandrum offer very specialized courses at MPhil, PhD level. However, I am also hopeful that in the coming years there will be more demand for this discipline as many students I have observed are increasingly becoming interested in this field.

1. which statement best describes the Cherokee tribe the early explorers found when they came to North America
Dmitry [639]

Members of the Cherokee tribe lived in wooden houses and villages. The villages had walls to prevent attacks. An unexpected effect of European exploration was the death of millions of natives from the diseases that Europeans brought. Roanoke is a historical mystery because no one knows what happened to the people who lived in this settlement.

We can arrive at these answers because:

 • The Cherokees lived in houses with wooden walls and roofs made of tree bark.
 • They used wood as a thermal insulator to protect them in the coldest seasons.
 • In addition, they lived in groups, which formed the villages and it was common for these villages to be walled to prevent attacks by animals or other tribes.
 • The Europeans arrived and brought several diseases to America, such as smallpox.
 • The organism in the natives had no defenses against these diseases, as the natives had never come into contact with them. This caused millions of natives to become infected and die from these diseases.
 • This was an unexpected effect, as Europeans were hoping to use the natives as a workforce.

About the mystery of Roanoke, we can say that an English settlement was established in this region and one of its members, John White, had to take a trip, leaving the family in Roanoke. White returned to the settlement three years later and found the place completely empty, with no clues as to what happened to its inhabitants and even his family.

To date, no evidence has been found to explain what happened to a Roanoke.

Approximately what percent of calories come from saturated fat in luigi's manicotti?
Harlamova29_29 [7]

The percent of calories that come from saturated fat in luigi's manicotti is 41%.

What are calories?

Calories are a unit of measurement for the energy content of food and beverages. Our bodies store extra calories as body fat when we consume more calories through food and drink than we burn off. If this keeps happening, we might eventually gain weight. In general, ladies should consume 2,000 calories per day and men should consume 2,500.

Foods high in calories are:

Proteins: Red meats, pig, chicken with skin on (roast or broil, don't deep fry for your health), salmon or other oily fish, beans, whole milk, eggs, cheese, and full-fat yogurt are some examples of foods high in calories. Carbohydrates include whole grain breads, whole grain pasta, whole grain potatoes, and brown rice.

The percent of calories that come from saturated fat in luigi's manicotti

160 kcal from fat ÷ 390 total kcal

= 0.41 × 100

= 41%

Therefore, the percent of calories that come from saturated fat in luigi's manicotti is 41%.
