What is a omniscient narrator?

English

Answer:

An omniscient narrator is a type of narrator used in third person stories where the narrator is aware of all the thoughts and feelings of the characters as well as all of the situations the characters are in.

Explanation:

The meaning of this word comes from two Latin roots. The first being <em>omni- meaning all</em>. The second being <em>-scient meaning knowing or aware</em>. Coming together, <u><em>omniscient means all knowing</em></u>. Omniscient narration can be used in stories to develop other characters experiences besides the main character, giving the reader insight into their lives more than third person limited point of view could :-)

Read the paragraph. Theodore Roosevelt was the greatest president because as a leader of the Progressive Party, he brought about
vlabodo [156]

Answer:

Order of ideas, tone, and punctuation and phrasing could be revised.

Explanation:

It is known that when giving a presentation or writing an essay, the speaker should convince the public little by little, providing evidence that will support the final hypothesis, in this case, how great Roosevelt was. Due to this, the beginning would be: "Theodore Roosevelt was a great president because..."

Punctuation and phrasing are other issues in the paragraph. Some sentences are too long and carry a lot of information that could be overwhelming for the reader (specially for such a short paragraph.) In example, the phrase "he brought about much-needed social, political, and economic reform" could be written again: "his impact could be seen in almost every aspect of the country, such as in politics, economics, and in society in general."

The first statement could be at the end, like "an equal share of opportunities. Due to this, Roosevelt is the greatest president."

Tone is also important because it seems to be part of an essay or a presentation, so words like "broke up" could be changed for more proper ones.

PLEASE HELP 20 POINTS
Leona [35]

Answer:

The significance of the phrase is:

C. ironically shows a rich man needing a wife, when women in those days needed one more significantly for financial stability.

Explanation:

This is the opening line in Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice"<u>. </u><u>The whole idea of a rich man needing a wife as a universal truth is ironic, and Austen's novel is proof of that. The whole plot is based on women searching for potential husbands as a means to secure their financial stability.</u> <u>Of course, that was never the purpose of the main character and her favorite sister, who would both much rather marry for love than for money.</u> Still, <u>they end up marrying extremely wealthy man who, in a sense, rescue them from being left in a dire situation once their father comes to die. </u><u>Their mother and sisters,</u><u> on the other hand, do not share their ideology, and</u><u> openly look for matches that are well settled in life to provide for them.</u>
