Cytoplasm: contains a fluid medium in which chemical reactions take place. it contains organelles and other inclusions such as starch, glycogen and many other dissolved substances.

Cell wall: plant cells are enclosed  by a tough, rigid cell wall which acts as a protective coat. the wall is made up of a chemical compound called cellulose. it readily allows water and solutes to pass through but resists swelling.

Vacuole: as the cell matures, the vacuoles fuse to form one large vacuole. the vacuole is filled with cell sap which contains sugars, ions and waste products
