QUESTION 1
- they could not adopt new policies from the US.
-They were affected way differently than Asia and Africa
( I would say more but I dont remember anything else, sorry )

QUESTION 2
-The war ended when the Berlin Wall fell
because East and West Germany reunited!
-( It ended due to a “relax” in tensions between the U.S and some other place I forgot. )
