Both the US and URSS aimed to expand their totally different economic and political influences over other countries. The worldwide conflict that emerged after WWII because of this fact is known as Cold War. Although tensions were incredibly high, there was never a direct confrontation between the two powers.

While the US leaded a group of capitalist states (Western Bloc), the URSS exercised its control over communist countries and formed the Eastern Bloc.

Which of the practices contributed to the Great Depression in United state
cluponka [151]

Answer:

Nine thousand banks failed during the months following the stock market crash of 1929. It is far too simplistic to view the stock market crash as the single cause of the Great Depression. A healthy economy can recover from such a contraction.

how immense must the destruction of Hiroshima been for the Enola Gay s crew to have been able to see it?
nika2105 [10]

Well, they were over 8 miles away when the bomb detonated, so they wouldn't have seen any of the destruction. Even reconnaissance planes were initially unable to survey the extent of the destruction due to the enormous amounts of smoke caused by the fires, and dust brought up by the bomb.

Also the service ceiling for the B-29 is 31,850ft. 40,000ft would've been impossible.
