The Grecian direct democracy and the Roman republic significantly impacted the American political process. For instance, like the Romans, the citizens of the United States elect individuals to represent them in Congress, or the lawmaking body. Like the Greeks, all US citizens are given the opportunity to vote. Though not required, all US citizens also have the right to run for a government office. Also like the Greeks, all US citizens are subject to the law and held accountable for their actions.
The Columbian Exchange greatly affected almost every society on earth, bringing destructive diseases that depopulated many cultures, and also circulating a wide variety of new crops and livestock that, in the long term, increased rather than diminished the world human population.
America has lost many men because of the war especially Texas. Texas is one of the biggest states that sent the most men to wars. that's why they have one of the biggest population of veterans.
