(Are you saying the king case is an additional 12% of $84? I think you should word the question a bit more clearly).

12% = 12/100 = 0.12 multiplied by $84 = $10.08 = $84 + $10.08 = $94.08

We have $94.08 so far (king case and camera price combined).

Tax is 6%, so 6/100 = 0.06 multiplied by $94.08 = $5.64
Add $5.64 to the $94.08 total we calculated.

$94.08 + $5.64 = $99.72 <=== this is our total cost plus tax.

Which of the following integrals will find the volume of the solid that is formed when the region bounded by the graphs of y=e^x
dimulka [17.4K]

The fourth option is correct.

See the attached image. The red cylinder represents a washer formed by the described revolution. Its volume is

\pi((\text{outer radius})^2-(\text{inner radius})^2)(\text{height})

so when we integrate, we take

\displaystyle\pi\int_0^1((e^x+2)^2-3^2)\,\mathrm dx

1. The total area within any continuous probability distribution is equal to 1.00.
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

1. True

2. False.

3. True.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The total area within any continuous probability distribution is equal to 1.00: it is true because the maximum probability (value) is one (1), therefore, the total (maximum) area is also one (1).

<em>Hence, for continuous probability distribution: probability = area</em>.

2. For any continuous probability distribution, the probability, P(x), of any value of the random variable, X, can be computed: False because it has an infinite number of possible values, which can not be counted or uncountable.

<em>Hence, it cannot be computed. </em>

3. For any discrete probability distribution, the probability, P(x), of any value of the random variable, X, can be computed: True because it has a finite number of possible values, which are countable or can be counted.

<em>Hence, it can be computed. </em>
