Between 70,000 and 80,000 people, about 30% of Hiroshima's population died instantly, while another 70,000 were injured. About 90% of doctors and 93% of nurses in Hiroshima died or were injured, since most of them were in the center of Hiroshima, the area that received the greatest impact.
