Answer:

The correct answer is A. The bomb dropped on Hiroshima killed 70,000 people instantly.

Explanation:

At the time of the bombing, Hiroshima was a city of some industrial and military importance. Some military camps were in the vicinity, including the headquarters of the Fifth Division and those of the Second General Army of Field Marshal Hata Shunroku, who commanded the defense of the entire southern part of the country. Hiroshima was a minor supply and logistics base for the Japanese militia. The city was a communication center, storage place and a meeting area for the troops.

Although US aircraft had previously launched pamphlets warning civilians of aerial bombings in 12 other cities, Hiroshima residents were never warned of a nuclear attack. Between 70,000 and 80,000 people, about 30% of Hiroshima's population died instantly, while another 70,000 were injured. About 90% of doctors and 93% of nurses in Hiroshima died or were injured, since most of them were in the center of Hiroshima, the area that received the greatest impact.

Why would the church and religious life have had such great appeal in the medieval ages?
sasho [114]
Because belonging to the church (being a church official such as a priest or a bishop) esentially meant you were given education (not common or at all present in those times) and a good position with a pay. You also exerted a lot of power in your local or regional community as church officials were considered to have been influential figures in medieval ages.
