How to find the area r = 6 ft

Mathematics

I am assuming this is for a circle??

 Area for  circle is pi*r^2

you didn't say what to use for pi so I will use 3.14

so area = 3.14 * 6^2

6^2 = 36

so 3.14*36 = 113.04 square feet. Round this answer off as needed.

What is the inverse of x^2-4x+5
lisabon 2012 [21]

we are given

f(x)=x^2-4x+5

Since, we have to find inverse of this function

step-1: we set f(x)=y

y=x^2-4x+5

step-2: switch x and y

x=y^2-4y+5

step-3: Solve for y

y^2-4y+(5-x)=0

now, we can use quadratic formula

y=\frac{4+\sqrt{4^2-4(5-x)} }{2}

f^{-1}(x)=\sqrt{x-1}+2

or

f^{-1}(x)=-\sqrt{x-1}+2..............Answer

Point A is at (-1,-9) and Point M is at (0.5,-2.5).
leva [86]
  • Midpoint Formula: (\frac{x_2+x_1}{2},\frac{y_2+y_1}{2})

So firstly, let's start with the x-coordinates. Since we know the midpoint's x-coordinate and point A's x-coordinate, we can solve for point B's x-coordinate as such:

\frac{-1+x}{2}=0.5\\\\-1+x=1\\\\x=2

Next, do the same thing except solve for the y-coordinate and using point A's y-coordinate and the midpoint's y-coordinate:

\frac{-9+y}{2}=-2.5\\\\-9+y=-5\\\\y=4

<u>Putting it together, point B's coordinates are (2,4).</u>

Only the second one
when diameter is 4 r=2
so 2pi*2=2²*pi the first is circumference the second area
