La guerra fria llevado a muchos revoluciones en latino America. Por ejemplo, en Chile, Salvador Allende fue el presidente y era un comunismo, y los Estados Unidos tenían miedo que Chile haría ayudar el Soviet Union, entonces el CIA instigado un coup con la militaría de Chile y puse Pinochet a líder.
