Here, we have to analyse the words and ages

The first statement is "Tom is younger than Andy" means Andy is older than Tom. So first comes Andy and then Tom. Let's Rank Andy =1 and Tom = 2 with 1 assigned to the older.

Now, the next statement is "John is not older than Tom" This means John is younger than Tom. This also means Tom is older than John. So John would become the youngest and hence we assign John = 3 (meaning the youngest)

Ordering from Youngest to oldest would be John (Rank 3), Tom (Rank 2) and Andy (Rank 1)

To conclude the order from youngest to oldest would be John,Tom,Andy

What’s Distribute -x(5x+2)
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

-5x^2-2x

Step-by-step explanation:

When distributing, you multiply the term outside the brackets to all the terms in brackets.

If the term outside the bracket is negative, then when distributing/opening the brackets, the signs of the terms changes.

So in this prob. -x would multiply to both +5x and +2

-x*5x+-x*2

∴-5x^2-2x

Hillary is making a blanket for her mom. Three fourths of the blanket is green and the rest is yellow. Two thirds of the yellow
Leviafan [203]

Answer:

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Hillary is making a blanket for her mom.

Let the total blanket = 1

Three-fourths of the blanket is green and the rest is yellow.

The fraction for the rest(yellow portion) = 1 - 3/4

The Lowest Common Denominator is 4

Hence,

4 - 3 /4 = 1/4

Two-thirds of the yellow part has her name on it.

The fraction of the blanket that will have her name on it is calculated as

2/3 of 1 /4

= 2/3 × 1/4

= 1/6
