The correct answer is B and C.

Henry VIII separated from the Catholic Church because:

B. the Catholic church refused to grant him a divorce from Catherine of Aragon, who failed to produce a male heir.

Eventually, this led to the establishment of the Church of England.

In addition he also wanted to:

C. Bring church property in Britain under his control

The Church at the time was one of the richest entities in United Kingdom and the King had an eye on it.

Why was Louis XIV being weak the greatest impact on the French Revolution
Step2247 [10]

Answer:

While Louis XVI wanted to be a good king and help his subjects, he faced enormous debt and rising resentment towards a despotic monarchy. His failure to successfully address serious fiscal problems would dog him for most of his reign. The last Factor that influenced the French Revolution was that Louis XVI was a weak leader and he allowed matters to drift. Louis took control of the emergency when he saw himself with no money at all, and his solution was to impose taxes on the nobility, which made the nobility revolt.

Why do you think the Jews were blamed for the Bubonic plague? What was the real cause?
Leviafan [203]

As a Jew myself, I had heard (not knowing for sure if it’s factual) that Jews who ate Kosher food did not get the Bubonic plague. Presumably, this was due to the fact that pork carried the virus of this particular plague. It also might have accounted for the fact that non-Jews were suspicious of why the Jews were not as affected.
