it hasn't been specified which ticket the question's is asking but I'm guessing the price of the adult ones so $30.00

altogether that's two adults and 3 children who all paid a total of $105.00

let's simplify that to algebra

children tickets = c adults tickets = a

3c + 2a = $105.00

we know that 1c is 0.5a because each child ticket is half of an adults one as stated in the question

so in terms of (adults) a: half of 3 meaning 3×0.5= $1.5 meaning 1.5a

so now 3c = 1.5a

so we can substitute and have like terms

meaning 1.5a + 2a= $105

3.5a =$105.00

divide by 3.5 on both sides to get a by itself thus the value of a:

a = $30

so each adult tickets cost $30

A person jogged 10 times along the perimeter of a rectangular field at the rate of 12 kilometers per hour for 30 minutes. If fie
balu736 [363]

Answer:

20,000m²

Step-by-step explanation:

If they jog 12 km/h for half an hour, they have covered.

12 X 0.5 = 6km in 10 circuits. Making 1 perimeter

6 / 10 =0.6 km (600 m).

To determine area we need to convert this perimeter to length and width. We know that it is a rectangle, with 2 equal widths and 2 equal lengths, and the length is twice the width.

So L = 2W

Perimeter = 2W + 2L

600 m = 2W + 2(2W)

600 m = 6W

W = 100 m

L = 200 m

Area = 100 X 200 = 20,000 m²

Mama L [17]

A bicyclist travels at a constant speed of 12 miles per hour for a total of 45 minutes

Domain x is number of hours

Range y is distance traveled

speed = 12 miles per hour

time = 45 minutes = \frac{45}{60} = 0.75 hours

We know distance formula

Distance = speed * time

Distance = 12 * 0.75= 9 miles

Number of hours x is 0 to 0.75 hours

So domain is { x | 0}

Distance is 0 to 9 miles

So range is { x | 0}

Find the least common denominator of 3/8 and 11/2
Elden [556K]

Answer:

8

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that 2 divides into 8 evenly, yielding the quotient 4. 8 is the LCD. To combine 3/8 and 11/2, we would rewrite 11/2 as

4·11

------ = 44/8

4·2

and then combine 44/8 with 3/8. The sum would be 47/8.

In summary, the LCD of 3/8 and 11/2 is 8; 3/8 stays as is and 11/2 is rewritten by mult. numerator and denominator by 4 each.
